Romania and Bulgaria hope to inaugurate Vidin-Calafat bridge, by 2012-end
Bucharest, Jan 19 /Agerpres/ - State Secretary of the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) Bogdan Aurescu and Deputy Minister for regional development and public works of Bulgaria, Nikolina Nikolova, expressed on Thursday, in the meeting held in Bucharest, their hope that, by the end of 2012, the Vidin-Calafat bridge will be inaugurated and other projects related to two new bridges across the Danube will be initiated in the near future, a MAE press release informs.

Brussels, Jan 18 /Agerpres/ - Romania ranks first in the European Union in terms of year-on-year evolution of the construction works in November 2011, with a figure 16.9 percent better as the construction works in the European Union reported an annual increase of 0.7 percent and there was a 0.2 percent increase in the euro area, according to data officially released on Wednesday by the European Statistics Institute Eurostat.

77 YEARS OF COMICS IN ROMANIA
The exhibition of the 77 years of Romanian comics, an overview of the comics’ history in Romania, from its pioneers until present, will be opened on the 26th of October at the Belgian Comic Strip Center in Brussels. The curator, Alexandru Ciubotariu, one of the best representatives of the young generation of Romanian comic strip artists will be accompanied at the opening of his exhibition by Dodo Nita, the president of comic strip artists association in Romania.
