Through a selection of films and accompanying debates carried out by leading personalities, the Festival will explore the build-up to 1989 and its far-reaching consequences on contemporary European culture and society. The film programme is curated by renowned critic Louis Danvers in consultation with Cinematek. Each film will be introduced by its director or scriptwriter or main actor. The Festival is co-produced by FLAGEY and EUNIC Brussels with the kind support of the Swedish Presidency of the European Union, the European Economic and Social Commitee and the European Commission.
