Romania's tourist brand launched at Expo 2010 in Shanghai
Bucharest, July 29 / Agerpres / - 'Romania's tourist brand, under the slogan 'Explore the Carpathian Garden', was launched Thursday at the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai. The new logo and slogan under which Romania will be promoted as a tourist destination in the coming years have also been presented at the event. The leaf - a graphic element powerfully anchored in Romania's nature and tradition, brings the brand's visual identity into relief. The entire graphical symbol is intended to suggest the Variety of Romania's specific geographical features and the primary elements: earth, water, the wild, adventure, dynamism.

ForMin Baconschi: out of the 192 UN member states only 69 have stated themselves in favour of recognising Kosovo
Bucharest, July 23 /Agerpres/ - Romanian Foreign Minister Teodor Baconschi on Friday said that two thirds of the international community has not recognised Kosovo, a stance that Romania has steadily taken. "Currently, a majority of the EU member states recognise Kosovo. At the same time, in the international community, out of the 192 UN member states only 69 have stated themselves in favour of recognising this entity," Baconschi said in a statement at the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) on Friday evening.

LEARN ROMANIAN IN ROMANIA!

The Romanian Cultural Institute organizes Romanian language, culture and civilization courses in the 12th century citadel of Braşov. The program is organized in collaboration with the Faculty of Letters of Transilvania University in Braşov, Mureşenilor Memorial House and the Corona Local Initiative Group.

A multicultural environment, Braşov (Corona, Kronstadt, Brassó) was renowned not only as an important medieval trade centre, but also as a cultural and academic „fortress”. Braşov is the place where the first spark of an anticommunist uprising was lit in November 1987. Now the city has 300.000 inhabitants.
